School Activities > Green Schools

Flag 4. Travel 2010.
Children encouraged to walk/cycle, car-pool, bus, park & stride.
Bicycle safety training annually for 5th & 6th classes.
Bicycle shelter erected.
Lots of W.O.W. days, W.O.T. days, etc.
Presentation on bicycle safety & maintenance by local bike shop owner – Mr.Peadar Leonard.
Bicycle raffle in school – Ellen McHale won.
Sustainable travel fun day at the Mall in C’bar-Green School committee members taken in with their bicycles (last 2 yrs).
Participation in : European Mobility Week, National No Car Day, etc.
Ms. Eva Gannon visited the school to facilitate workshops on travel.
